Ultrafiltration systems are applicable for use with the following feed water parameters:
- pH range 3.0 – 12.0
- Free chlorine < 1.2 mg/l
- Turbidity 0.5 – 30 NTU
- DOC 0.5 – 12 mg/l
- Suspended solids 50 mg/l
General information
Hollow ultrafiltration membranes ensure sterilized water in which bacteria, parasites and viruses are reliably removed – even when water quality fluctuates, as it does after heavy rainfall. The quality of the filtrate remains consistently high! When treating drinking water, the filtration process is ideally used before the final disinfection. Backwashing is carried out in regular cycles to prevent clogging of the modules. If necessary, the purification is maintained by adding chemicals depending on the quality of the source water.
