Aquasource XS-700B UF System Veolia

The operation of Aquasource UF systems is fully autonomous and automated. The raw water is first prefiltered, then pumped at a low pressure (< 0.3 bar) into ultrafiltration modules. The membrane acts as a filter for particles larger than 0.02 μm. The system alternates sequences of filtration and backwashing resulting in a stable and long-lasting operational life. Veolia’s Aquasource UF systems has developed processes based on mechanical backwashing during the production phase, with no added chemical reagents. Based on specific customer needs and source water conditions, optional supplementary treatment including acidic, alkaline, or chlorine solutions can be incorporated, but are not required.

A single unified process that simultaneously clarifies and disinfects water

A simple procedure called “low pressure” ultrafiltration permits the clarification and disinfection of water in a single step. A membrane barrier acts like a filter for all particles over 20 nm in size: pollen, algae, bacteria, viruses, germs and organic molecules.
